Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Tragic Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, Nigerian authorities stated on Wednesday night. The athlete was part of a serious road collision in the Lagos area on December 29th, a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two of his team members.

Healing from Light Wounds

The sports star had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to continue his recovery at home.

“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the commissioner stated.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. Omotoso added that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and deeply emotional over the loss of his two close friends.”

His release from the hospital follows the boxing community had expressed its support for the fighter in the following the terrible crash.
