David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Prolific writer for children and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the company stated: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was made after an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving women.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, boasting over more than 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
He has published more than 40 books in total, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
