Homages Flow for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues continue to honor the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt prepared to express about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can finally articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the production, adding that he doesn't recollect "a single day without laughter".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he comprehended the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

In a new development, a Los Angeles court official decided to bar the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive put a embargo on the files to limit the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The relevant authority had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of foul play, with a official listing noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

In the wake of the killings, public figures expressed different comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing controversial statements that were met with immediate backlash by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his perspective to the detractors last week. Talking on his show, Rogan characterized the statements as "disturbing" and implied they demonstrated a worrisome absence of compassion.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an associate should have intervened when the impulse to speak on the death was made.
