'Living a Nightmare': Relatives of Unaccounted For Teens Await Information After Alpine Blaze
The loved ones of young people unaccounted for after a tragic blaze at a venue in a Switzerland's winter destination are enduring an excruciating wait for official news and appealing for information about their family members via social media.
The inferno ripped through the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of January 1st. Verified video depict the ceiling igniting as bottles with sparklers are held aloft.
Officials have warned that it could take an extended period to identify the those who perished of the disaster, which killed 40 people and injured another over a hundred. A spokesperson noted on Friday that 113 of the those hurt have been identified, with the process ongoing to identify the remaining few.
In the meantime, families and friends have been taking to social media to appeal for any news about their loved ones who were in attendance that fateful night.
Appeals for the Missing
The whereabouts of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are not yet determined, according to an public plea from his parent.

The Italian Golf Federation has released a tribute that he is dead, without directly referencing the tragedy, paying tribute to a "young athlete who represented dedication and authentic values."
His parent, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around the new year. An official spokesperson has stated that a official announcement of his death is not yet.
Other Missing Individuals
Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is also unaccounted for. His mother said that he had been on holiday but had ventured out with a group and ended up at the bar.
"A close friend told me they escaped after the fire started and that he had his phone with him, but then at a certain point he couldn't see him anymore," she said, adding he had been wearing a distinctive piece of jewelry.
One of his teachers said, "I've always been struck by his good nature and positive demeanor, coupled with great responsibility. Often ask if get me a coffee."
Alice Kallergis, who holds both Greek and Swiss nationality but lives permanently in Switzerland, was also present on that night, according to reports.
Her brother has published an urgent request online, saying the relatives has had "no information" regarding the 15-year-old or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.
